2024 Priest Assignments

Bishop Thomas Daly is pleased to announce the following priest personnel assignments, effective July 1, 2024.

Pastors

  • Rev. Theophilus “Theo” Hwande, VC is appointed pastor of St. Catherine, Oakesdale and Sacred Heart, Tekoa, while continuing assistance at St. Patrick, Pasco, during the week.

  • Rev. Arokiaraj “Fr. Raj” Kunipaku, HGN is appointed pastor of St. Francis of Assisi, Spokane.

  • Rev. Jeyalaban Jesoraj, HGN is appointed pastor of St. Patrick, Colfax; St. Joseph, Lacrosse; and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. John.

  • Rev. Raymond Kalema is appointed pastor of St. John Vianney and St. Paschal, Spokane Valley.

  • Rev. Jeffrey Lewis is appointed pastor of St. Joseph, Rockford, while retaining his role as pastor of St. Mary, Spokane Valley.

  • Rev. Matthew Nicks is appointed pastor of St. Augustine, Spokane.

  • Rev. Kevin Oiland is appointed pastor of St. Patrick, Walla Walla.

  • Rev. Curtis Seidel is appointed pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Walla Walla, while retaining his role as pastor of St. Francis of Assis, Walla Walla and president of Walla Walla Catholic Schools.

Parish Administrators

  • Rev. Prasath Jayavel, HGN is appointed administrator of Sacred Heart, Wilbur; St. Agnes, Ritzville and St. Joseph, Odessa.

Retirements

  • Rev. Msgr. Brian Mee

Leaves

  • Rev. Dale Tuckerman will take six months of health leave.
