In 2018, Bishop Thomas Daly founded the annual Bishop’s Collection for Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Spokane. During Catholic Schools Week (January 29-February 4),  envelopes were mailed out, and the basket was passed at parishes across the diocese to raise funds for Catholic education in the diocese.

This year, the Diocese of Spokane is pleased to announce that through the generous gifts of the faithful in the diocese, $114,499.97 was collected from the weekend and will be distributed to each parochial school in the diocese. As there are 13 different parochial grade schools in the diocese, each school will receive a total of $8,807.69.

Bishop Daly would like to thank all those who support Catholic education in the Diocese of Spokane through this collection and otherwise.
